MBA Reports Share of Mortgage Loans in Forbearance Increases to 0.27% in July
The Mortgage Bankers Association’s monthly Loan Monitoring Survey revealed that the total number of loans now in forbearance increased to 0.27% as of July 31, 2024.
MBA: Commercial/Multifamily Borrowing Increased 3% in the Second Quarter
Commercial and multifamily mortgage loan originations increased 3% in the second quarter compared to a year ago and increased 27% from the first quarter, according to MBA's Quarterly Survey of Commercial/Multifamily Mortgage Bankers Originations.
Redfin: Existing-Home Sales See Lowest July on Record Going Back to 2012
Redfin, Seattle, reported existing-home sales rose 0.6% month-over-month in July but fell 2% year-over-year to just 4,094,991--the lowest July on records going back to 2012.
