MBA Education, the award-winning education division of the Mortgage Bankers Association, honored Colorado Housing and Finance Authority’s Natalie Weaver, AMP, with its Willis Bryant Award.

The Willis Bryant Award recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the three courses of MBA Education’s School of Mortgage Banking (SOMB) and is awarded annually to a top student graduate of SOMB Course III. To qualify, a student must achieve a grade of “excellent” on all SOMB exams and demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities in both the classroom and when interacting with other students.

“MBA Education is excited to name Natalie Weaver as the 2022 Willis Bryant Award winner,” said David Upbin, MBA Vice President of Education Operations and Programming and MBA Strategy. “Natalie demonstrates a strong commitment to the mortgage industry by encouraging engagement and education and helping  new industry professionals establish their careers. Natalie’s passion for learning, her leadership skills, and her achievements within the School of Mortgage Banking program embody the spirit of the Willis Bryant Award and make her a rising star in our industry.”

Weaver is currently a senior business development specialist with CHFA. In this role, she is responsible for developing customer-centric solutions and training loan officers on CHFA lending products. Prior to CHFA, Weaver served as regional sales manager for Pulte Mortgage, where she was responsible for customer retainment and collaborating with business partners to develop organizational business strategy.

This award was named after Willis R. Bryant, following his death in 1965. Bryant, a mortgage banking pioneer of the 1950s, was a former lecturer for SOMB who authored Mortgage Lending Fundamentals and Practices, a former SOMB textbook.
