The Week Ahead, July 5, 2022: Five Things to Know
Good morning and happy Tuesday! We hope you had a safe and happy Independence Day holiday. Here’s what’s happening this week:
First, MBA Reports. MBA releases its Weekly Applications Survey this Wednesday, July 6, with commentary and analysis from MBA Associate Vice President of Economic and Industry Forecasting Joel Kan.
And on Thursday, July 7, MBA releases its monthly Mortgage Credit Availability Index, with Joel Kan again providing analysis and commentary.
Second, Other Economic Reports. It’s “Jobs Week” in housing and economic reports this week, with four employment-related reports coming out, leading up to the Friday Employment Report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. As always, MBA Chief Economist Mike Fratantoni will tell us what the employment numbers mean for the overall economy, the housing market and the real estate finance industry.
