Retail (FHA/VA) Holds Up Slightly Better in 2Q21 Slump

Government lending was down in all three production channels in the second quarter of 2021, though third-party platforms took the biggest hit. Lenders of FHA and VA loans reported $105.26 billion in second-quarter originations; that was down 12.3% from the first three months of 2021.
