Cherry Creek Mortgage Promotes Susan Vick to Vice President of Marketing; Expands Reverse Mortgage Operations
Cherry Creek Mortgage, Denver, promoted Susan Vick to Vice President of Marketing. Her responsibilities will include focus group research, developing and launching multi-state TV and radio campaigns and launching other paid advertising such as pay-per-click and geofencing marketing. She will also oversee all digital marketing efforts and lead a team focused on digital marketing, web, SEO, social media, media buying and customer experience.
Vick has 30 years’ experience in marketing, mainly in financial services, information technology and healthcare. Before joining Cherry Creek Mortgage as Director of Marketing in 2020, she held various executive marketing positions at several organizations in the Denver area.
Cherry Creek Mortgage also hired Bruce Barnes and Jim Cory as managing directors of its expanded reverse mortgage division. Under their leadership, the company intends on expanding its reverse mortgage presence in retail, wholesale and closed loan production. Both have built successful reverse mortgage platforms and funded billions of dollars in reverse mortgage production at several previous employers.
Pamela Hermann Joins On Q Financial as VP of Marketing
On Q Financial Inc., Tempe, Ariz., hired Pamela Herrmann as Vice President of Marketing, responsible for aligning national marketing strategy and programs with corporate priorities. Central to her mandate will be optimizing demand generation, deepening borrower and Mortgage Consultant engagement, and amplifying brand visibility to fuel corporate growth.
Hermann has more than 25 years of marketing consulting experience spanning B2C, SaaS and B2B2C. Prior to On Q, she served as VP Marketing & Customer Experience for Mortgage Cadence. She has also consulted on clients’ brand, marketing and customer experience strategies, including Denver Community College, the City of Grand Lake, and JetBlue.
Mark Tribuna Joins New American Funding as Regional Business Development Manager
New American Funding, Tustin, Calif., hired Mark Tribuna to serve as the company’s Regional Business Development Manager for Arizona, Nevada and central and northern California.
Tribuna previously served as Co-President for a Dallas-based non-profit lender that specializes in approving affordable home loans for local homebuyers. More recently, he worked as Lead Consultant for one of the nation’s largest affordable homebuilders and was tasked with creating new programs and products supporting the mortgage-lending activities of its nearly 1,200 affiliates who build thousands of homes annually. He currently holds a Senior Advisory role at CBC Mortgage Agency, the financing agency of the Cedar Band of Paiutes, a band of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah.
Kayne Anderson Real Estate Hires Debby Jenkins as Head of Housing
Kayne Anderson Real Estate, Boca Raton, Fla., hired Debby Jenkins as Head of Housing and head of its newly created Multifamily Impact strategy.
Jenkins brings more than two decades of experience in the multifamily sector to KA Real Estate. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President and Head of Multifamily at Freddie Mac, where she oversaw the country’s largest provider of financing to the multifamily sector as well as the largest issuer of commercial structured debt in the industry. While at Freddie Mac, she spent her time providing liquidity and stability to the rental housing market with a focus on affordable housing.
Consolidated Analytics Appoints Bob Hora as COO
Consolidated Analytics Inc., Anaheim, Calif., appointed Bob Hora as Chief Operating Officer, a new position within the company. He will assume responsibility for developing tech-enabled, optimized operations for the company. He will initially focus on identifying opportunities to scale service and product delivery to Consolidated Analytics’ clients, comprising mortgage originators, loan servicers and capital markets investors. He will also implement leading technology, workflow systems and digital solutions that streamline and unify business intelligence, improve efficiencies and strengthen performance transparency.
Hora has more than 30 years of experience developing and overseeing mortgage servicing and default operations for reputable organizations such as Cenlar Federal Savings Bank, Ditech Holding Corporation, Bank of America and Fannie Mae.
SitusAMC Adds 1,500 Employees Across Originations, Secondary Market Due Diligence
SitusAMC, New York, hired more than 1,500 employees to boost support capacity for both originations and secondary market due diligence. The expansion is expected to expedite the flow of loans into private-label securitizations.
SitusAMC’s additional capacity will primarily be available to clients in the form of dedicated capacity teams, custom built to support client-specific needs, while also providing industry-leading service to their sellers and internal stakeholders. However, given market demand, SitusAMC’s increased review capacity will also support “transactional” assignments, allowing clients to “flex up” capacity needs and providing them the ability to execute on short-duration assignments.
CFPB Names New Chiefs for Supervision, Enforcement Positions
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau announced leadership changes within the Bureau, naming Lorelei Salas as Assistant Director for the Office of Supervision Policy; and Eric Halperin as Assistant Director for the Office of Enforcement.
Salas will also serve as the Acting Assistant Director for Supervision Examinations. From 2016 to 2021, she served as Commissioner of the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Previously, she was legal director at Make the Road New York, supervising immigration, housing, and employment legal services programs designed to increase access to justice for immigrants and refugees. She also led the legal department at Catholic Migration Services, supervising the same areas of legal practice. In 2009, she was nominated by President Obama as the Wage and Hour Administrator at the United States Department of Labor. Ms. Salas also worked at the New York State Attorney General’s Office in the Litigation and Labor Bureaus and held multiple senior management positions at the New York State Department of Labor.
Halperin has served in a number of positions in the non-profit and government sectors. Most recently, he was CEO of Civil Rights Corps. From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Halperin served in leadership roles in the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department, first as Special Counsel for Fair Lending and later as Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General overseeing the Division’s fair housing, fair lending, and employment enforcement programs.
FHFA Announces Three Staffing Updates
The Federal Housing Finance Agency announced three personnel updates to its executive staff.
Charles Yi joined FHFA as its Senior Advisor for Legal Affairs and Policy. In addition to advising Acting Director Sandra L. Thompson, he will provide expertise, guidance and coordination in recommending actions to ensure the Agency’s goals and obligations are met. Most recently, he was a Partner at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP. From 2015 to 2019, he served as General Counsel at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
Acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) Katrina Jones has been named permanent COO. She has more than 35 years of federal service, having served with FHFA since 2012.
Lynn Fisher, Deputy Director for the Division of Research and Statistics, left FHFA to pursue new opportunities. Daniel E. Coates, who currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Acting Director will assume this role. Before becoming a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Director, Coates served as a Senior Associate Director at FHFA, where he led a team of economists and financial analysts. Before joining FHFA, Coates worked as an Economist at the U.S. General Accounting Office and the Federal Housing Finance Board.
Homespire Mortgage Expands in New Mexico, Ohio, Texas
Homespire Mortgage, Gaithersburg, Md., announced its newest expansion in New Mexico, Ohio and south-central Texas.
Industry veteran Lynda Fazio is serving as Area Manager in New Mexico alongside mortgage expert Dave Purdy who serves as Regional Manager. Fazio’s team brings more than 65 years of combined experience to the market with plans to open three additional branches in New Mexico over the next year.
Homespire also named Kevin Whatley Regional Manager of south-central Texas He is leading opening of additional offices in the Austin and Houston market.
