Employment in the mortgage banking and brokerage sectors remained fairly stable in September with both cohorts reporting sequential job gains of 200 full-timers each, according to new figures released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Mortgage banking jobs ended the month at 265,900 positions, loan brokerage shops at 124,000.
