The Week Ahead—Apr. 26, 2021

The Federal Open Market Committee assembles in Washington this week for its regularly scheduled policy meeting, amid a hot economy and rising inflation.

The FOMC meets this Tuesday, Apr. 27 and Wednesday, Apr. 28, issuing its policy statement Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. ET. MBA NewsLink will provide coverage, as well as commentary/analysis from MBA Chief Economist Mike Fratantoni.

Fratantoni has a busy few weeks ahead. On Tuesday, Apr. 27, Fratantoni will participate in a virtual webinar sponsored by Sales Boomerang on “The Unforgiving Industry – What Can You Do to Catch the REFI & PURCHASE Double Wave.”

Joining Fratantoni will be Rob Chrisman, Capital Markets Consultant with Chrisman Inc.; and Alex Kutsishin, CEO of Sales Boomerang.  The webinar begins at 2:00 p.m. ET. Registration is free; to register, click https://hubs.ly/H0Lc4s20. For more information contact Richard Grieser, richard.g@salesboomerang.com.

On May 10, Fratantoni will join Aaron King, Founder and CEO of Snapdocs, for a Fireside Chat at 2:00 p.m. ET.

As mortgage lenders move on from an unprecedented year, many are asking “what’s next?” Join King and Fratantoni as they discuss how factors such as the state of the economy, the Federal Reserve’s policies, the housing supply and demographics driving purchase demand might impact lenders’ profitability over the next year. You’ll also hear examples of how lenders are adapting to these market changes. As we all learned in 2020, the future belongs to those who are ready for it.

Attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions when completing the registration process and during the live event. All registered attendees will receive the recorded session. For more information, click here.
