MBA to Release Recommendations on Secondary Mortgage Market Reform

This morning, the Mortgage Bankers Association will release a paper outlining its recommended approach for secondary mortgage market reform.

The paper, GSE Reform Principles and Guardrails, was developed by the MBA Task Force for a Future Secondary Mortgage Market, created last year by MBA to examine current secondary market issues and to recommend actions by Congress, the Administration and regulatory agencies.

MBA will hold a news conference at 10:30 a.m. ET. Speakers will include:

–MBA President and CEO David Stevens, CMB
–MBA Chief Economist Mike Fratantoni
–Al Blank, President of Union Home Mortgage and Task Force Member
