Gantry Adds Partners
Gantry, San Francisco, named Amit Tyagi and Tony Kaufmann as Partners and Principals, both buying into ownership. The roles were effective Jan. 1.
Tyagi has been with Gantry since 2011 and has worked on a number of transactions including construction loans, construction-to-permanent, bridge, permanent, structured permanent and bond-style financings.
Kaufmann has been with Gantry since 2018, and his expertise spans various types of transactions and asset types across the United States, encompassing permanent loans, structured financing and ground-up development deals.
Tonya Wright Joins MBA
The Mortgage Bankers Association welcomed Tonya Wright as Director, CREF.
Most recently Wright worked as a Commercial Real Estate Assistant for CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Richard Slaton and Transform Community Partners. She assisted in property research, supported the transaction process and conducted market analysis to identify investment opportunities.
She has successfully managed and executed many complex projects across different industries, including commercial and residential construction and event coordination for nonprofits.
Greystone Hires Greg Voyentzie, Steven Caligor
Greystone, New York, announced the addition of Greg Voyentzie as the Head of a new Low Income Housing Tax Credit syndication platform to support the development and construction of new affordable housing nationwide.
Voyentzie was previously with Boston Financial as CEO, where he was also part of the Management Committee for parent company ORIX Corp. USA.
In addition to more than two decades with Boston Financial, he held roles at companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young.
Additionally, Greystone has hired Steven Caligor as a Senior Managing Director of Structured Finance.
He will focus on managing and expanding client relationships and channels of loan origination within the banking sector.
Caligor was previously an Executive Vice President at BHI (Bank Hapoalim) USA. He has also held positions at Signature Bank, Monticello Asset Management and Bank Leumi.
Peachtree Group Welcomes Sameer Nair
Peachtree Group, Atlanta, announced Sameer Nair as Senior Vice President of Equity Asset Management.
Nair will oversee and implement asset oversight on Peachtree’s real estate portfolio and preferred equity investments.
Nair joins the team with extensive experience in the hospitality sector. He was most recently Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for Hospitality Ventures Management Group. He has also been with Kolter Hospitality and Banyan Investment Group.
