Walker & Dunlop Hires John Ducey as Affordable Housing Chief Production Officer

Walker & Dunlop, Bethesda, Md., hired John Ducey as Affordable Chief Production Officer. He will lead the firm’s affordable housing financing efforts across all capital sources, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and private capital providers.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Ducey served as Director of Multifamily LIHTC Equity Investments at Fannie Mae, where he was responsible for investing LIHTC equity and managing the relationships with eight LIHTC syndicators. He previously was part of the Multifamily Affordable Housing Credit group at Fannie Mae and worked at Prudential, Enterprise Community Investment and Muni Mae. He began his career as an affordable housing developer at SOME Inc. in Washington, D.C.

Former Ambassador Adrian Zuckerman joins DLA Piper’s Real Estate practice

DLA Piper announced Adrian Zuckerman, former United States Ambassador to Romania, has joined the firm’s Real Estate practice as of counsel based in the firm’s New York office.

Zuckerman served in the role of US ambassador to Romania from December 2019 to January 2021 and has been widely recognized for advancing the US-Romania relationship. Under his leadership, Romania signed a ten-year defense cooperation agreement with the United States and an intergovernmental agreement to refurbish one reactor and build two additional nuclear reactors, the largest-ever joint project between the United States and Romania, as well as an agreement with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) to finance the project. During Ambassador Zuckerman’s tenure, Romania also implemented new initiatives to combat organized crime, human trafficking, fraud, corruption and intellectual property theft, among other initiatives.

Before serving as a US ambassador, Zuckerman was a real estate partner in a New York law firm. Ambassador Zuckerman received his J.D. from New York Law School, his B.S. in life sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his B.S. in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Colorado Multifamily Investment Sales Team Joins CBRE
CBRE, Dallas, said a Colorado-based multifamily investment sales team joined the firm’s Denver and Colorado Springs offices.

Terrance Hunt, Shane Ozment and Chris Cowan join CBRE Capital Markets as vice chairmen, along with Justin Hunt, Andy Hellman, Spencer Bradley, Kevin McKenna, Saul Levy and Jessica Graham. The team of nine has nearly 150 years of combined multifamily real estate experience. The team joined CBRE from Newmark.
