
Realtor.com: 82% of Americans Looking to AI for Real Estate Info

Realtor.com conducted a new survey on Americans’ use of different platforms or sources for insights related to real estate, finding 82% of respondents report using AI for their information.
The most popular platforms for such use are ChatGPT, at 67%, and Gemini, at 54%.
More than half of the respondents say they’re excited about how AI can personalize their search for real estate information.
But, 62% still say that they think real estate agents make them “smarter” about real estate, with 61% saying the same about AI.
Americans are also turning to social media for real estate content, with 90% say they use some form of social media for their insights. Seventy-three percent report using Youtube, and 57% say they use Facebook. For Gen Z, 76% say they used TikTok for housing content.
In terms of how respondents view reliability of different sources, 65.6% said they had a positive experience using real estate agents for information, 61.9% said they had a positive experience with AI, 57.8% said so about friends, family and neighbors, 55.1% said so about TV, 52.6% said so about social media and 52% reported a good experience with the news.
