MBA Statement on FHFA and GSEs’ Release of Historical Credit Score Data

NEW YORK–Four years after the Federal Housing Finance Agency approved FICO Score 10T and VantageScore 4.0, a panel convened at the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Secondary and Capital Markets conference to discuss progress on the credit score modernization effort.

VantageScore Reports Credit Scores Down in December

VantageScore, San Francisco, found that in December the average Vantage Score 4.0 credit score declined by one point to 700, indicating that consumer credit conditions are softening.
