A new survey from LendEDU, Hoboken, N.J., finds more than half of new homeowners regret taking out a mortgage during the coronavirus pandemic, with most of them citing a job layoff as the reason for their angst.

ATTOM: 4Q Refinances More than Double

ATTOM Data Solutions, Irvine, Calif., reported 1.27 million refinance mortgages secured by residential property originated in the fourth quarter, up 20 percent from the third quarter and up by 104 percent from a year ago to the highest point since third quarter 2013.

FHFA: Nearly 4.4 Million Homeowners Helped Since Conservatorship

The Federal Housing Finance Agency released its quarterly Foreclosure Prevention and Refinance Report, showing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac completed 26,475 foreclosure prevention actions in the third quarter, bringing the total number of foreclosure prevention actions to 4.38 million since September 2008.
