ATTOM: Foreclosure Filings Fall in November

ATTOM, Irvine, Calif., released its November 2024 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report, finding that foreclosure filings are down 9% from a year ago and down 5% from October.

ICE ‘First Look’ for December: Foreclosure Starts at 18-Month Low

Intercontinental Exchange Inc., Atlanta, released its “first look” at mortgage performance data for December, noting that at 24,000, foreclosure starts marked an 18-month low in new activity. Total active foreclosures are the lowest since March 2022, and 25% below pre-pandemic levels.

FHFA: More Than 6.8M Troubled Homeowners Helped During Conservatorships

The Federal Housing Finance Agency reported Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac completed 43,356 foreclosure prevention actions during the third quarter, raising the total number of homeowners who have been helped to 6.86 million since the start of conservatorships in 2008.

ATTOM: Foreclosure Activity Up in Third Quarter

ATTOM, Irvine, Calif., showed a jump in foreclosures in its Q3 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report. At 124,539 properties with foreclosure filings, they’re up 28% from Q2 and 34% from last year.
