ICE First Look: Delinquencies Hold Steady in April

Mortgage performance remained broadly stable from March to April, with the overall share of past-due loans unchanged and below pre-pandemic levels, ICE reported Tuesday in its monthly First Look report.

The delinquency rate for mortgage loans on one-to-four-unit residential properties increased to a seasonally adjusted rate of 4.26% of all loans outstanding at the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s National Delinquency Survey.

ICE Mortgage Technology, Atlanta, released its June 2025 ICE First Look, finding that delinquencies rose on a monthly basis and foreclosures were up year-over-year, despite overall mortgage payment performance remaining strong.
