MISMO Publishes Update to Engineering Guideline for Class Words
MISMO, the real estate finance industry’s standards organization, yesterday announced the publication of the updated MISMO Engineering Guideline (MEG) 7.
“The MISMO MEGs provide a foundation for the industry to define standards that will allow for greater interoperability when exchanging data between trading partners,” said David Coleman, President of MISMO. “MEG 7 provides further clarifications in MISMO standards for formatting data, ensuring consistency that enhances efficiency throughout our industry.”
MEG 7 provides details on a list of approved class words that must make up the last component of all MISMO data point names. When the names of data points indicate the type of information they carry, practitioners can easily understand schemas, messages, and metadata using those data points.
MEG 7 was updated to Version 1.4 with changes for unit of measure attribute names, two measure types, and updates to examples that align with changes from MISMO Reference Model Version 3.6.
