Non-Agency MBS Market Runs Aground in 3Q22

The market generated $21.19 billion of new non-agency MBS during 3Q22, a severe 36.4% drop from the prior period. It was the steepest decline since COVID, when production plummeted 45.1% in the second quarter of 2020.
