The Decline in GSE MBS Issuance Slows in July

Mortgage bankers issued a combined $87.13 billion of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac MBS in July, according to a new Inside The GSEs analysis. That was down 9.2% from June, but volumes for the last two months have been significantly higher than during the February through May period.
