MBA: Mortgage Application Payments Decrease Slightly in August

Homebuyer affordability improved modestly in August, with the national median payment applied for by purchase applicants decreasing to $2,162 from $2,175 in July according to MBA's Purchase Applications Payment Index.

Title Insurance Premium Volume Grows 15% Year over Year

The title insurance industry generated $5.3 billion in title insurance premiums during the second quarter, compared to $4.5 billion during the same period a year ago, the American Land Title Association reported.
