Redfin, Seattle, named Land O’Lakes, Fla., the “hottest” neighborhood of 2026 so far.
The firm analyzed zip codes in the 100 most populous metro areas by year-over-year growth in listing views on some of its platforms to calculate how difficult it is to obtain a home, among other related factors.
Land O’Lakes, Fla., for example, saw a 90.9% increase in listing views year-over-year.
No. 2 is Plant City, Fla., and Oak Creek Wis., is No. 3.
Next is Oceanside, N.Y., followed by West Bend, Wis., Lincoln Park, Mich., Lee’s Summit, Mo., Little Neck, (Queens), N.Y., Howell, Mich., and Menomonee Falls, Wis.

Despite the strong showing from Florida at the beginning of the list, six of 10 of the hottest neighborhoods are in the Midwest. This is the second straight year that the region has dominated Redfin’s analysis.
“Midwest cities and lesser-known places in Florida are having a moment—and affordability is the reason,” said Redfin Senior Economist Asad Khan. “Many of these neighborhoods sit just outside major hubs like Milwaukee, Chicago and Tampa, hitting a sweet spot: lower cost of living without giving up access to highly rated schools, shopping and dining. They have the convenience of big cities without the big-city price tags.”
