Conventional-Conforming Share of Originations Rises in 1Q

Conventional-conforming mortgages accounted for 54.3% of originations in the first quarter of 2026, up from a 53.0% share in the fourth quarter of 2025 and a 53.3% share in the first quarter of last year, according to a new ranking and analysis by Inside Mortgage Finance.
