Zillow Reports 242 U.S. Cities Have Million Dollar-Plus Starter Homes

The bar for entry-level homeownership has never been higher. Zillow, Seattle, reported that while the typical starter home nationwide is worth $198,649, a record 242 cities now have starter homes valued at $1 million or more.

Builder Sentiment Weak Amid Affordability Concerns

Homebuilder sentiment remains subdued as elevated mortgage rates and ongoing affordability challenges continue to strain the housing market, the latest NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index found.
