The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is now law, marking the most comprehensive bipartisan housing package in decades. The legislation includes key MBA‑supported provisions that reduce red tape, smooth financing options, expand housing supply and improve affordability.

The Mortgage Action Alliance called the new law “A major win for housing — and for millions of families across the country” in a LinkedIn post.

“Congratulations to bill authors, U.S. House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill (R‑AR) and Housing and Insurance Subcommittee Chairman Mike Flood (R‑NE), and to all who helped make this milestone possible,” the post said.

Issac Morales, senior vice president and chief community outreach officer at Encore Bank and president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Arkansas, joined Chairmen Hill and Flood on Saturday morning at a local housing development for a press event commemorating the bill’s enactment — an engagement coordinated by the national MBA.
