MISMO Common Confidence Score Reaches Recommendation Status Following Implementation by Leading AVM Providers
MISMO®, the real estate finance industry’s standards organization, announced the Common Confidence Score has reached recommendation status, the final step for a MISMO standard, reflecting implementation by key stakeholders across the industry.
MISMO recognizes the following organizations for their leadership in implementing the Common Confidence Score, marking a significant step forward in standardizing confidence measures for Automated Valuation Models (AVM) across the industry:
- Clear Capital
- Consolidated Analytics
- Cotality
- ICE
- Quantarium
- Veros Real Estate Solutions
The Common Confidence Score establishes a single, standardized approach for communicating the accuracy of an AVM estimate, replacing inconsistent confidence formats with a common scale that enables clearer interpretation of valuation results. This clarity helps reduce operational costs, streamline quality control, and support more efficient investor due diligence, while enabling broader, responsible AVM use across the industry.
“For too long, inconsistent confidence score formats have slowed decision-making and increased operational burden,” said Brian Vieaux, CMB, MISMO’s president. “The Common Confidence Score delivers a standardized framework that reduces interpretation time, lowers quality control costs, and enables faster, more confident valuation decisions across the industry.”
The standard was developed through collaboration within MISMO’s AVM Development Workgroup, led by Co-Chairs Erica Vigen of Clear Capital, Carla Nott of JPMorganChase, and Vice Chair Reena Agrawal of Veros Real Estate Solutions. The workgroup brought together lenders, AVM providers, investors, and other industry participants to address long standing challenges created by fragmented confidence scoring approaches across the market.
