
MBA Opens Applications for Associate Advisory Council
The Mortgage Bankers Association is now accepting applications for open seats on the MBA Associate Advisory Council (MAAC), an industry leadership group dedicated to representing the interests and elevating the contributions of Associate Members.
The MAAC brings together a diverse group of Associate Members across all membership tiers, providing a platform to share ideas, foster collaboration, and strengthen connections between service providers and the MBA’s residential and commercial/multifamily lender and servicer members. Council members represent a broad range of sectors, including accounting, technology consulting, legal services, and more.

Council Mission
To unite diverse Associate Member companies to foster collaboration, innovation, and meaningful engagement within the mortgage industry, serving as a bridge between service providers and the MBA Lender/Servicer community while elevating the contributions of Associate Members.
Membership Eligibility
• Open to Select and Premier Associate Members.
Membership Term & Timeline
•Term Length: 12 to 18 months
• Cycle Dates: October 1 – September 30 (aligned with MBA’s fiscal year)
• 2025–2026 Cycle: May include limited one-year appointments to stagger roll-offs and ensure continuity.
Expectations of Council Members
• Support the MAAC mission and demonstrate commitment to the MBA community.
• Actively contribute to at least one MAAC subcommittee.
• Attend all scheduled MAAC meetings (up to two excused absences permitted per term).
• Attend at least one MBA conference annually.
• Collaborate with fellow members to enhance the value of MBA membership.
Joining the MAAC offers Associate Members a unique opportunity to amplify their voice within MBA, help shape member engagement, and strengthen the bridge between service providers and the broader lender/servicer community.
