MORPAC Presents Jeff Weidell, CMB, with the 2025 Schumacher-Bolduc Award
LAS VEGAS–The Mortgage Bankers Association Political Action Committee (MORPAC) awarded Jeff Weidell, CMB, CEO of Northmarq, with the 2025 Schumacher-Bolduc Award. The award was presented at MBA’s 2025 Annual Convention & Expo.

“It is my honor to recognize Jeff Weidell with the 2025 Schumacher-Bolduc Award for his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to MORPAC’s advocacy efforts,” said Christine Chandler, 2026 MBA Chair and Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, M&T Realty Capital Corporation. “From his leadership as MORPAC Vice Chair to his tireless work recruiting new donors and driving peer-to-peer engagement, Jeff has shown what it means to lead with passion, purpose, and impact. His efforts have strengthened MORPAC’s support from members and have helped advance our industry’s collective voice in Washington.”

Weidell currently serves as the 2025-2026 MORPAC Commercial/Multifamily Vice Chair, leading MBA’s political action committee outreach to its commercial/multifamily membership and increasing participation to 30 percent amongst individuals making contributions. During his tenure as 2024 Chair of MBA’s Commercial/Multifamily Board of Governors (COMBOG), Weidell consistently emphasized MORPAC’s value, making it a priority to foster members’ collective support. Weidell has already taken bold actions in seizing new opportunities for MBA’s newest political giving program, MORPAC Direct, helping to recruit new potential major donors.
Along with his MORPAC and COMBOG leadership, Weidell has appeared as an industry witness on MBA’s behalf at a congressional hearing, has been a top MORPAC contributor himself over the years, and has personally led advocacy outreach for MBA-sponsored conferences, including the tailored “CREF track” at the MBA’s National Advocacy Conference (NAC), the Commercial/Multifamily Finance Convention & Expo, and the Chairman’s Conference. Weidell has been incredibly effective at supporting and leading MORPAC’s peer-to-peer fundraising and company campaign strategies at the “C-suite” level amongst MBA member companies.
Weidell assumed the role of CEO in 2020 after serving as President for eight years. Under his leadership, Northmarq’s loan servicing business has grown significantly, delivering customized, industry-leading solutions to clients. Earlier in his career, Weidell was a successful mortgage banker, beginning at Trowbridge, Kieselhorst & Company, where he became Managing Director of the San Francisco office. He remains actively engaged in the industry through leadership roles with MBA and at the Bay Area Mortgage Association. He also holds the prestigious Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation.
The Schumacher-Bolduc Award is named after MORPAC founder Ernest P. Schumacher and Mark P. Bolduc, one of MORPAC’s first Directors. It is awarded to individuals who exemplify MORPAC’s mission and display commitment to expanding the reach of MBA’s political advocacy efforts.
