Fannie Mae Launches AI Fraud Detection Partnership With Palantir
Fannie Mae, Washington, D.C., announced the launch of its AI-powered Crime Detection Unit in partnership with software company Palantir, Denver.
The program will augment Fannie Mae’s fraud detection capabilities with AI-enabled financial crimes data science and investigations technology. Palantir’s technology provides expansive monitoring for anomalous transactions, activities and behaviors.

Friday Harbor Introduces AI-Powered Condition Engine
Friday Harbor, Seattle, announced the launch of a retooled condition engine that automatically generates actionable underwriting conditions based on borrower source documents and loan guidelines.
The tool reads the full context of the loan file, including borrower documents, AUS findings and lender overlays, outputting conditions that are immediately usable by loan officers, processors and borrowers.
Conditions are then color-coded by urgency and supported by documentation that gives underwriters a ready-made audit trail. It can provide a proposed resolution path and direct links to applicable guidelines.

Prudent AI Introduces Upfront AUS Built for Non-QM Lending
Prudent AI, San Francisco, launched an Upfront Automated Underwriting System purpose-built for the non-QM lending market.
It shifts underwriting decisions to the start of the loan lifecycle by using verified borrower data and aligning with investor-specific guidelines. It applies investor-specific guidelines and assesses eligibility and conditions to clear.
The system is currently available to select wholesale and correspondent lenders and will expand availability through Q4.
