MBA Opens Doors Foundation Raises $321,000 at MBA’s 2025 Chairman’s Conference

The MBA Opens Doors Foundation announced that it raised $321,000 at its annual MBA Opens Doors Foundation Annual Charity Wine Auction during MBA’s Chairman’s Conference in Sea Island, Ga. The proceeds will support the Foundation’s mission of providing mortgage and rental assistance to families caring for critically ill or injured children, allowing parents and guardians to be by a child’s side during treatment without fear of losing their home.
“The continued success of our annual auction and other fundraising events highlights what’s possible when our industry comes together for a shared purpose,” said Debra W. Still, CMB, Vice Chairman of Pulte Financial Services and Chair of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation Board of Directors. “I am deeply proud of how far we’ve come and even more inspired by the lives we are able to touch–ensuring families can focus on what matters most during life’s most challenging moments.”
The Annual Charity Auction was launched in 2019 by CMG Financial President, CEO and Founder Chris George. This year’s auction was led by a host committee of 13 people, Co-Chaired by James Deitch, Senior Partner with Stratmor Group, Co-Founder of Teraverde Management Advisors and Opens Doors Director; and Nolan Turner, Managing Director, Carrington Holding Company.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and commitment of our supporters, whose compassion fuels our mission,” said Deborah Dubois, President of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation. “Raising more than $321,000 at this year’s Annual Auction is not just a milestone—it’s a testament to our industry’s heart and unwavering dedication to helping families stay in their homes while they care for a critically ill or injured child.”
In addition to the success of this year’s annual auction, other spring campaigns have shown the industry’s continued generosity and commitment to the Foundation’s mission. Highlights include Lennar’s Derby event, which raised $100,000, and CMG Financials’ remarkable $1.4 million fundraiser held during MBA’s Secondary and Capital Markets Conference in New York City. The CCMS Cares Campaign at MBA’s Commercial/Multifamily Finance Servicing and Technology Conference also made a meaningful impact. Opens Doors is also grateful to the Houston MBA for selecting Opens Doors as the beneficiary of its Annual Golf Classic and the MBA of New Jersey for hosting the second annual Fun Run Campaign, helping Opens Doors to extend its reach and support to even more families in need.
MBA Opens Doors Foundation has provided more than $30 million in mortgage and rental payment assistance to nearly 18,000 families since its founding in 2011, making it a critical part of a family’s support structure while their child is in treatment. Grants of up to $2,000 are made monthly to families with a child in treatment at one of the Foundation’s network of 13 children’s hospitals.
