Freddie Mac Appoints James Whitlinger CFO
Freddie Mac, McLean, Va., announced James Whitlinger has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective Jan. 1.
Whitlinger was previously Senior Vice President and Single-Family CFO, serving in the role since 2014. He has also served as interim CFO since June, following the departure of Christian Lown.
Whitlinger has been in the real estate finance industry for more than three decades, including in roles at Univest Bank and Trust Co., and GMAC ResCap.
Dark Matter Chooses Brad Vasto as Chief Revenue Officer
Dark Matter Technologies, Jacksonville, Fla., has chosen Brad Vasto to serve as Chief Revenue Officer.
Vasto takes the role as Sean Dugan, the outgoing company CRO, will assume the role of CEO in April.
Vasto has more than 30 years of experience in mortgage technology sales and mortgage lending. He previously worked for Black Knight, Intercontinental Exchange and Asurity.
Vasto will work to drive revenue growth and strengthen relationships with banks, credit unions and independent mortgage bankers, among other responsibilities.
BSI Financial Services’ Allen Price Joins IMN Home Equity Investment Advisory Board
BSI Financial Services, Irving, Texas, announced Allen Price, Senior Vice President of Sales, Client and Transaction Management, was selected to join the IMN Home Equity Investment Advisory Board.
He is the first mortgage servicing executive appointed to the board.
The board includes thought leaders and stakeholders from servicing, capital markets, HEI originations and rating agency organizations.
