MBA Education Names Christy Soukhamneut, CMB, to Lead MBA’s Residential Future Leaders Program

MBA Education, the award-winning education division of the Mortgage Bankers Association, announced that Christy Soukhamneut, CMB, a financial services executive, consultant and board director, will lead MBA’s Residential Future Leaders Program.

Soukhamneut will serve as an industry anchor and role model that will support the growth and development of the Residential Future Leaders students.

MBA Education’s Residential Future Leaders Program is a specialized leadership development curriculum designed for emerging executives who have demonstrated exceptional leadership potential and interest. Participants enhance their skills through three hands-on sessions centered around a customized assessment of leadership behaviors and their strategic application; business analysis and problem-solving; and experiential learning through collaboration, networking, and peer group interaction, culminating in a group project presentation.

Soukhamneut has more than 20 years of financial services experience, with a track record of driving transformation, revenue growth, and strategic innovation across the mortgage, banking, credit union, and fintech sectors. As a consultant with the Stratmor Group, Soukhamneut brings her expertise in digital innovation, governance, and market strategy. Before consulting, she held leadership roles at Texas Capital Bank, Flagstar Bank, Certainty Home Loans, and Bank of America. Soukhamneut is an active member on the Board of Directors with TRAiNED, Halcyon (advisory board), and the Texas MBA, and previously served on other boards including MBA Georgia and Freddie Mac (advisory board). In 2022, she was nationally recognized as the 2022 Exceptional Women Awardee.

As a subject-matter expert, Soukhamneut will help bring MBA Education’s Residential Future Leaders Program’s leadership curriculum to life, ensuring that the connection is made between fundamental leadership concepts and the business lines that our students serve in. She will be a mentor, guide, and connector who ensures each participant leaves the program better equipped to lead in the mortgage industry. As a Future Leader alum and a CMB, Soukhamneut’s experiences and commitment to professional development are perfectly suited for her role.
