MBA Opens Doors Foundation Welcomes ICE Mortgage Technology’s John Hedlund to its Board of Directors
The MBA Opens Doors Foundation (Opens Doors) welcomed John Hedlund, 2026 MBA Vice Chair and Vice Chairman of ICE Mortgage Technology, to its Board of Directors. Opens Doors provides mortgage and rental assistance to families with critically ill or injured children, allowing parents and guardians to be by a child’s side during treatment, without fear of jeopardizing their home.

“John Hedlund brings decades of leadership and service to our industry, and I am very pleased to welcome him to the Opens Doors Board of Directors,” said Debra W. Still, Vice Chairman of Pulte Financial Services and MBA Opens Doors Chair. “John’s long-standing support of the Opens Doors mission enhances our efforts as the Foundation prepares to provide its 20,000th grant to a family needing mortgage or rental assistance.”
Hedlund holds more than 40 years of experience in the mortgage industry. A prominent MBA voice and industry volunteer over the years, Hedlund has served as a board member for several organizations, including as a member of MBA’s Board of Directors, Board Chairman of MISMO, Chairman of MBA’s Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG), Board Member and past Chairman of the California Mortgage Bankers Association, and Advisory Board Member for Automated Mortgage Systems, Inc., and FundingShield, LLC.
The Opens Doors Foundation partners with 13 children’s hospitals in eight states and the District of Columbia and has provided nearly 20,000 families from all 50 states and Guam, with housing assistance since 2011.
