
Introduction to Mortgage Banking (on Demand): May 12-June 9
Introduction to Mortgage Banking provides a broad overview of the world of single-family mortgage finance. In a convenient and digestible format, the course introduces students to the basic business model of residential mortgage lending and illustrates the three main phases of the single-family loan life cycle: loan production, loan servicing, and secondary marketing.
The course concludes by introducing the importance of regulatory compliance, quality assurance/quality control, and technology in mortgage finance.
This on demand course is delivered in a flexible format, allowing students to complete the course at their own pace within a four-week period. The content is presented in short, bite-sized learning elements and includes pre-recorded videos, learning activities, downloadable guides and worksheets, knowledge checks, and discussion boards. Additionally, MBA will hold two current events and networking sessions during the course where students can get their questions answered from an industry professional and learn from their peers. The course concludes with a comprehensive final exam, and students who successfully complete the course by achieving a weighted score of 75% will receive a certificate of completion.
