Rick Scherer Joins NewFed Mortgage as Chief Strategy Officer

NewFed Mortgage, Danvers, Mass., announced the appointment of Rick Scherer as Chief Strategy Officer.

He will play a key role in NewFed’s national expansion, and will spearhead the company’s growth initiatives, including market expansion into new states, operational efficiencies and strengthening the company’s loan officer recruitment strategy.

Scherer was previously on the Board of Directors at Leader One Financial and has more than two decades of experience in the mortgage industry.

Jay Crowell Appointed President of Cornerstone Home Lending’s National Retail Division

Jay Crowell was appointed President of the National Retail Division at Cornerstone Home Lending, Houston, in a newly created role.

Crowell will drive the strategy and continued growth of Cornerstone’s national retail and realtor affiliate sales and operations

He’s been with Cornerstone Home Lending since 2009, most recently serving as President of the Pacific Northwest region.
