MBA Signs Joint Letter With NAR on Treatment of IPCs
The Mortgage Bankers Association released a letter with the National Association of Realtors, and addressed to Federal Housing Finance Agency, Federal Housing Administration, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac leaders.
As a result of certain business practice changes in the settlement, the groups believe it is critically important for the GSEs and FHA to review the settlement and provide guidance to market participants that will ensure these new arrangements will continue to be supported by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (the GSEs) underwriting standards.
