Down Payment Resource Adds New Personnel

Down Payment Resource, Atlanta, announced three new hires.

Veronica Chapa was hired as a Sales Engineer. She will work to accelerate customer acquisition, revenue growth and market penetration. She previously has worked for companies including Optimal Blue and Ellie Mae (now ICE Mortgage Technology.)

Lorrie Johnson was hired as a Customer Success Specialist. She will work with lender and real estate clients to coordinate various initiatives, and has an extensive background in real estate, customer service and sales.

Lisa Rhodes has joined as DPA Program Specialist, and will support collecting, monitoring and managing detailed eligibility data and program requirements for more than 2,300 DPA programs from 1,200 providers. She previously worked for 17 years at U.S. Bank.

Atlanta Fed Taps Cheryl Venable as VP, COO

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta has named Cheryl Venable as First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Her position will be effective Aug. 1, and she will oversee day-to-day operations and serve as Vice Chair of the Sixth District’s executive leadership committee.

She has worked her entire career in the Federal Reserve System, most recently as Chief of Payments Operations for Federal Reserve Financial Services and an Atlanta Fed Executive Vice President.

Venable succeeds André Anderson, who is retiring on July 31.

Westcor Land Title Insurance Co. Welcomes Kathi Weaver

Westcor Land Title Insurance Co., Maitland, Fla., has added Kathi Weaver as North Virginia Agency manager in the Mid-Atlantic States Region.

Weaver has nearly 28 years of experience with national underwriters including Commonwealth Land Title, Fidelity National Title and Chicago Title.

She originally began her career as a Recorder and has ascended to a number of successive positions at various companies.
