Panel to Focus on Borrower Education at MISMO Winter Summit Jan. 13

Among the topics that will be covered by expert panels at MISMO’s Winter Summit will be a discussion of how to help consumers to become better borrowers.

The educational session will focus on issues related to the costs associated with guarding against and recovering from natural disasters. Moderator Martha-Rosalind (“MR”) Stainton, partner at the Potomac Point Group, will lead a discussion about the resources and information that is available to potential home buyers.

Experts Scott Giberson, principal for flood compliance & product strategy at CoreLogic and Bryanna A. Ruiz Fernandez, director and financial analyst for mortgage markets at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, will talk about additional resources that may be needed.
