The American Land Title Association’s Good Deeds Foundation highlighted CONVERGENCE Memphis with a recent video. The ALTA Good Deeds Foundation awarded a grant to the program last year.
CONVERGENCE Memphis is an initiative led by the Mortgage Bankers Association and Tennessee Housing Development Agency to increase African American homeownership in the city.
The video profiles the program and its inception, and features the story of Virginia Ivey, a special education teacher, mother and first-time homebuyer in the city.
“ALTA’s endorsement and support of CONVERGENCE Memphis underscores the value of strategic partnerships in addressing the minority homeownership gap. The video shows how these partnerships can make a real difference,” said Steve O’Connor, Senior Vice President of Affordable Housing Initiatives at MBA.
