Varun Krishna to Be New Rocket CEO

Rocket Cos., Detroit, parent of businesses including Rocket Mortgage, Rocket Homes, Rocket Loans and Rocket Money, announced Varun Krishna will become CEO, effective Sept. 5

Krishna succeeds Bill Emerson, who has served as interim CEO since June. Bob Walters is retiring as CEO of Rocket Mortgage and President and Chief Operating Officer of Rocket Cos. Krishna will also succeed Walters in the role of CEO of Rocket Mortgage, and Emerson will become President and COO for Rocket Cos.

Krishna previously worked as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intuit’s Consumer Group, and has served in leadership roles within the TurboTax and Mint units. He also has been with PayPal, Groupon, Betterworks and Microsoft.

Maxwell Appoints Paul Wetzel as Senior VP of Product

Maxwell, Denver, a mortgage fintech solutions platform, announced Paul Wetzel as Senior Vice President of Product.

He will focus on including Maxwell’s human-driven capabilities into its software offerings, as well as expanding partnerships.

Wetzel brings years of product experience to Maxwell, including previous roles with Mortgage Cadence, Code4Pr and CloudVirga.

Cenlar Taps Gabe Rinaldi for VP of Enterprise Project Management

Cenlar, Ewing, N.J., announced Gabe Rinaldi as Vice President of the Enterprise Project Management Office.

In addition to heading that office, he will be responsible for a process engineering team that will identify and lead initiatives to enhance end-to-end processes.

He has more than 20 years of experience, including with SIRVA BGRS Worldwide, Webster Bank and The Hartford.
