The Week Ahead, Jan. 9, 2023: Digging in to 2023

Good morning and happy Monday; 2023 is off to another raucous start (what else is new?). Here’s what’s happening this week:

First MBA Reports. The Mortgage Bankers Association has two big reports this week, starting Tuesday with its monthly Mortgage Credit Availability Index. MBA Vice President and Deputy Chief Economist Joel Kan will provide commentary and analysis.

And on Wednesday, Jan. 11, MBA issues its Weekly Applications Survey, with Kan again providing commentary and analysis.

The MBA Independent Mortgage Bankers Conference is about two weeks away, taking place Jan. 23-26, at the Hotel Del Coronado outside of San Diego. For more information, click here.
