Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac combined to purchase just $1.179 trillion in mortgage loans in 2022, a 55.2% drop from 2021. Even so, nonbank seller/servicers managed to maintain their share of the conventional market, accounting for $792.26 billion, or 65.9%, of deliveries to the government-sponsored enterprises.
