Mortgage Company Layoffs? Yes. WARN Act Filings? Not So Much

Over the past year, at least 40,000 mortgage banking professionals have lost their jobs, but according to a check by Inside Mortgage Finance of WARN Act notices filed with some of the nation’s most populous states, their employers don’t appear to be up on their paperwork.
