Mortgage Rates Move Higher Ahead of Federal Reserve Meeting

After wandering lower the past four weeks, mortgage rates sharply reversed course this week. According to the latest data released Thursday by Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate average increased for the first time in a month, climbing to 5.23 percent with an average 0.9 point. (MBA mention)
