Dealmaker: Berkadia Closes $28M in Multifamily Property Sales

Berkadia closed the sale of Aviary Village and The Cloisters, two South Carolina multifamily properties.

Berkadia Managing Director Mark Boyce and Director Blake Coffey of Berkadia Charleston completed the $27.6 million sale for the seller, New Jersey-based Eskay Management. Aulder Capital, New York, acquired the assets on July 18.

“The Myrtle Beach metro is one of the fastest-growing in the U.S.,” Coffey said. “The record migration and rent growth provides an excellent opportunity for the buyer.”

Aviary Village is at 555 Wild Wing Blvd. in Conway, S.C. The 72-unit property has one- and two-bedroom floor plans with private balconies or patios. Residents have access to Myrtle Beach National golf course, Conway Medical Center and the shops and restaurants near Edward E Burroughs Highway.

The Cloisters at 902 67th Ave. N in Myrtle Beach has 88 one-bedroom units with dishwashers. The community is near Pine Lakes Country Club, Grand Strand Medical Center and the shops and restaurants near North Kings Highway.
