JLL Adds Kristy David to Clean Energy/Infrastructure Practice

Kristy David

JLL, Chicago, hired Kristy David as a Senior Vice President for its Clean Energy and Infrastructure Advisory team. She will play a key role in advising public and private clients on achieving their clean energy sustainability goals with an emphasis on solar, wind, EV charging and energy storage. 

David brings more than 15 years in project finance, commercial due diligence and public-private partnerships. Prior to joining JLL, she was a vice president with Greengate LLC, where she advised on complex multi-source financings and performed financial, market, credit and probabilistic analysis, among other duties.

Chris Bixby

Rice Park Capital Management Taps Chris Bixby to Lead Venture Capital Strategies

Rice Park Capital Management LP, Minneapolis, hired Chris Bixby as Managing Director of Venture Capital Strategies. Hewill focus on leading investments in early- to mid-stage technology companies in the PropTech and Real Estate Technology sector.

Prior to joining Rice Park, Bixby was VP of Growth at Sezzle, a digital payments fintech, where he joined pre-IPO and focused on go-to-market roles in enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, and marketing. Before Sezzle, he worked in brand management at General Mills and later founded Collaborate Brands where he advised early-stage businesses in strategy, growth and fundraising. He began his career on Wall Street at Jefferies in Mergers & Acquisitions and spent several years in middle-market private equity.

Bobby Magnano

JLL Taps Bobby Magnano, Giles Wrench to Lead Financial Services Division

JLL, Chicago, announced formation of JLL Financial Services in the Americas. Led by President Bobby Magnano and Vice Chairman Giles Wrench. The new group provides research, consulting, transactions, portfolio optimization, capital spend, workplace experience design and facility operations.

Magnano joined JLL in 2021 as Global Account Executive for the Bank of America account, where he led a global team of more than 1,200 employees, ensuring operational and service excellence across the full scope of real estate and advisory services JLL provides. He brings more than 26 years of industry expertise having previously served as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Services for Capital One.

Giles Wrench

Wrench has worked in real estate for more than 27 years, with the past 14 in a variety of leadership roles within JLL. Most recently, he served as Principal in the Solutions Development team supporting account needs of JLL’s banking and financial services clients in New York. He previously worked in the banking industry holding leadership roles in Hong Kong and London, including several years at BNP Paribas.

Former MBA Chair Brian Stoffers, CMB, Announces Retirement

Brian Stoffers, CMB, Global President of Debt and Structured Finance with CBRE and former Chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association, announced plans to retire next year.

Stoffers oversees CBRE’s global debt and structured finance practice. Under his leadership, more than 220 professionals originated nearly $90 billion worldwide last year with 400 different lenders. Loan sizes ranged from less than $1 million to $1 billion plus. Additionally, this practice maintains a loan services portfolio of over $270 billion globally.

Stoffers said he will retire from CBRE on March 31, 2023. He will remain with the firm as a consultant through year-end 2023. CBRE announced Rachel Vinson, U.S. President of Debt and Structured Finance, will take over much of Stoffers’ portfolio.

Stoffers served as MBA Chairman for the 2020 fiscal year. He has been active with MBA for more than two decades and is a member of its Board of Directors. He has served on the association’s Affordable Rental Housing Task Force, GSE Multifamily Task Force and Risk Retention Task Force. He received MBA’s Commercial/Multifamily Distinguished Service Award in 2015, chaired the MBA’s Diversity and Inclusion committee and serves on the board of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation, which helps vulnerable families with critically ill or injured children stay in their homes while a child is in treatment.
