“Lisa is a passionate leader and strategic thinker who provides tremendous expertise to MBA and our members. I congratulate her for being recognized by HousingWire as one of the most influential women in the real estate industry,” said Bob Broeksmit, CMB, MBA President and CEO. “MBA’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs and initiatives have grown tremendously under Lisa’s watch, and I am confident that she will continue to be an influential leader in working with our members and other stakeholders to create a more inclusive and diverse industry.”
Now in its 13th year, HousingWire’s list of 50 women influencers represents a variety of occupations within the housing economy, each demonstrating leadership that inspires those in their own companies, their communities, and the industry at large.
With Haynes at the forefront of MBA’s DEI initiatives, the association has established several alliance agreements, strategic partnerships, and outreach efforts to promote an inclusive environment for mortgage industry professionals. This includes partnerships with the National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA), the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB), HomeFree USA, Fannie Mae’s Future Housing Leaders and others, allowing for collaboration on industry conferences and meetings, with a focus on professional development scholarship opportunities, and strong recruitment efforts.
“HousingWire’s Women of Influence honorees exemplify a group of industry leaders who are moving the housing market forward,” said Clayton Collins, CEO of HW Media. “From driving business growth to building high-performing teams and impacting public policy, this year’s honorees are setting a new standard for what it means to be true leaders in housing. Our industry and the overall housing ecosystem are better for the leadership and contributions of these influential women.”
With more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, Haynes brings a wealth of knowledge to MBA’s Chief Financial Officer position. She is responsible for accounting and financial functions, including setting policies, procedures, strategies, and practices of MBA, as well as overseeing the Association’s assets.
