New Law Changes Requirements to Take California Broker Exam

The Real Deal, Aug. 26, 2022–Andrew Asch
A new California law adds requirements to get a real estate broker’s license. Gov. Newsom signed AB 2745 into law, which stipulates that to sit for the state’s broker’s exam an applicant must have at least two years of general real estate job experience. Previous law required a broker applicant to have earned a real estate license, but not have recent on-the-job experience.
