FHFA Shuts the Door on Fannie/Freddie JV Issuing Non-GSE Securities

In a surprise announcement Tuesday afternoon, the Federal Housing Finance Agency declared that Common Securitization Solutions will not expand beyond its current role of issuing mortgage-backed securities for the government-sponsored enterprises.
