The Week Ahead—June 1, 2021

Good morning! Welcome back from the holiday weekend—and welcome to June (already!).

MBA also releases its Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey this Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. ET.

Other reports of interest this week: Construction (Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. ET); the CoreLogic monthly Home Price Index (Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. ET); the Institute for Supply Management Manufacturing Index (Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. ET); the ADP National Employment Report (Wednesday, 8:15 a.m. ET); Initial Claims (Thursday, 8:30 a.m. ET); Productivity & Costs (Thursday, 8:30 a.m. ET); the ISM Non-Manufacturing Index (Thursday, 10:00 a.m. ET); Manufacturing, Shipments & Orders (Friday, 10:00 a.m. ET); and the May Employment Situation (Friday, 8:30 a.m. ET); MBA Chief Economist Mike Fratantoni will provide commentary on the Friday employment report for Monday’s MBA NewsLink.

Capitol Hill is relatively quiet this week; Congress is in recess until next week. The Senate returns on Monday, June 8; the House on Tuesday, June 9.
