Capitol Hill is busy again this week. On Tuesday, Mar. 23, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell visit (virtually) the House Financial Services Committee for a hearing on “Oversight of the Treasury Department’s and Federal Reserve’s Pandemic Response. The hearing begins a noon ET and can be accessed online here.

On Wednesday, Mar. 24, Yellen and Powell virtually visit the Senate Banking Committee for a hearing on “The Quarterly CARES Act Report to Congress.” The hearing begins at 10:00 a.m. ET and can be accessed online here.  

On Thursday, Mar. 25, the Banking Committee holds a remote hearing, “American Rescue Plan: Shots in Arms and Money in Pockets.” Slated to testify: Amy Matsui, Director of Income Security and Senor Counsel with the National Women’s Law Center; and Sharon Parrott, President of the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities.

Back on the House side, On Wednesday, Mar. 24 the Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development & Insurance holds a virtual hearing, “Preserving a Lifeline: Examining Public Housing in a Pandemic.” The hearing begins at noon ET and can be accessed online here.

On Thursday, Mar. 25, the Financial Services’ Subcommittee on National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy holds a virtual hearing, “Ending Exploitation: How the Financial System Can Work to Dismantle the Business of Human Trafficking. The hearing begins at noon ET and can be accessed online here.

MBA member company Sales Boomerang will hold a free webinar this Wednesday, Mar. 24.
