In 2016, Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has made speeding up infrastructure projects a priority, willed the train hall we can see today into being. The tenacious SOM has made the old mail-sorting floor the centerpiece of the 225,000-square-foot renovation of the Farley, now christened the Moynihan Train Hall.
